Josh Golden Bio

Josh Golden is the Chief Marketing Officer of Quad, where he is leading the transformation of the company’s go-to-market strategy to deliver truly integrated, through-the-line solutions for current and future clients.

Previously, Josh served as President & Publisher of Ad Age, where he revitalized the iconic media brand. He built a collaborative team, accelerated its digital transformation, and launched some of its most successful offerings—Ad Age A-List & Creativity Awards, Ad Age Next, Inside Pages, The List, the interview series In the Hot Seat. He also spearheaded digital business models like Ad Age Amp and Ad Age Datacenter, expanding the brand’s influence among Fortune 500 CMOs, agency trailblazers, and platform executives.

Josh is also the creator and host of Golden’s Gadgets, a digital video series exploring the tools, tech, and gear that make life a little smarter, smoother, and more fun. Each episode offers practical, entertaining insights on what’s next in innovation—delivered with Josh’s signature energy and curiosity.

Over the course of nearly 30 years, Josh has become one of the most connected figures in marketing and media—known for building value-driven relationships across brands, agencies, platforms, and global markets.

Before Ad Age, Josh was Vice President of Global Digital Marketing at Xerox, where he led a global team overseeing web, social, eCommerce, publishing, and video content. He played a central role in relaunching the company’s marketing efforts, building a content-first digital experience that earned industry acclaim.

Earlier in his career, he held senior agency roles including Chief Digital Officer at Grey New York, Managing Director of Digital at Euro RSCG (now Havas), and strategist at Y&R New York (now VML). He also served as Group Director of Digital Marketing at NBCUniversal, where he led digital transformation initiatives across the network’s cable and broadcast portfolio.

Josh began his professional journey in film and television, contributing to the prosecution teams on two of the most closely watched trials of the 20th century: People v. O.J. Simpson and People v. Menendez, producing visual evidence used in court.
